Scale Options
60” Shelf Family
Our shelves are formed using 14 gauge, powder coated, sheet metal and are 60”L x 12”d x 3”h. They are the easiest and quickest of the three product family options to install. Each shelf contains an internal DB Controller (PCB) pre-wired to each sensor and LED cluster. A 60" shelf may be configured with as many as 12 sensors. Select 3kg, 6kg or 12kg capacity sensors for each shelf or bin location. |
||
Bridging is a unique and powerful software feature. Bin Locations may be easily bridge or unbridge as inventory needs change. Two 4" locations become one 9" location. Three 4" locations become one 13.5" location. Two 9" locations become one 18" location and so on. Bridging also allows you to disable select LED modules to clearly delineate bridged bin locations. When bridged, the sum of the sensor capacities equals the scale capacity. If two 4" bin locations each with a 6kg sensors are bridged, the resulting scale is 9" and has a capacity of 12kg. |
The DB1000-003 is our most flexible shelf. It includes 12 sensors and LED modules. The three images below are of the same shelf, demonstrating the flexibility of the DB1000-003. Create dynamic scale sizes and load capacities by bridging scales & selecting appropriate scale tops. |
|
DB1000-020 – 6 Bin Locations Includes an internal PCB pre-wired to each of the six sensors and LED clusters and six 9"w Scale Tops |
DB1000-030 - 4 Bin Locations Includes an internal PCB pre-wired to each of the four sensors and LED clusters and four 13.5"w Scale Tops The sensor is mounted directly in the center of the scale top. |
DB1000-031 - 4 Bin Locations Although the DB1000-031 looks exactly the same as the DB1000-030, in includes eight sensors (one beneath the extreme left side of the scale top and one beneath the right). This doubles the weight capacity of each scale and provides better side-to-side balance. |
Designing and building rack(s) using 60" shelves is easy.
|
There are 4 bracket options available for use with 60” shelves. The brackets were designed to be mounted to commercially available posts. |

|||
24”w Angle Iron Bracket |
12” w Closure Bracket & rubber feet |
The racks below were built using six, 60” shelves. The rack on the left has 72 bin locations and is 62”w x 12”d x 60”h. The rack on the right is a double rack that creates an island and has 144 bin locations. The 12”w Strut Brackets are mounted to heavy-duty strut posts using strut nuts or extruded aluminum posts using t-slot nuts. The shelf glides onto the bracket and is secured using the hardware provided. The four-sided extruded aluminum post makes it easy to mount a PC, monitor, scanner, etc.

There are five 60” shelves on the rack below. The rack has 36 bin locations and is 62”w x 12”d x 60”h. The 12”w angle iron brackets are mounted to inexpensive, commercially available eyeletted posts. The shelf glides on the bracket and is secured using the hardware provided.
12" Angle Iron Bracket |
There are five 60” shelves on the cart rack below. It has 36 bin locations and is 62”w x 12”d x 60”h. The 24”w Angle Iron Brackets are mounted to inexpensive, commercially available eyeletted posts. The shelf is secured to the bottom of the bracket using the hardware provided. The shelves may be staggered for better weight distribution and to allow for easier access to the bins. A mobile cart option exists that will allow the rack to be mounted to 8” swiveling, locking wheels. The cart will move easily and will safely support 1,200 lbs.
24” Angle Iron Bracket |
The rack below illustrates 60” shelves atop a 72”w commercially available rack. The 12”w closure brackets are secured using the hardware provided. The shelf rests on rubber feet screwed into the bottom of the bracket. Each bracket has two covered wire management holes.

Advantages of deploying |
• Fastest style to implement because sensors and LEDs are shipped pre-wired and connected to an internal DB Controller.
•Assembly requires basic skill with simple tools. |
Disadvantages of deploying |
• Shelving is redundant if adequate shelving exists on site. Vertical space will be sacrificed.
• 60” shelves may not be optimum in fixed space installations. If you have 9’ of wall space, one 60” shelf may be installed where Individual Scales & Strut Based Systems will allow you to use all 9’ of space.
• The sensor maximum per fastening point is 12kg. |
Individual Scale Family
The family of Individual Scales were designed to accommodate customers with existing shelving, cabinets, work benches, etc. |
|||
Each scale base is dove-tailed allowing scales of differing sizes to snap together while maintaining perfect spacing between the scales. |
Select your scale dimensions, metal thickness and sensor capacity. Place the scales side-by-side on a sturdy, flat surface and connect the dove-tails. |
|||
Scale dimensions 2.5”w x 12”d 4.0”w x 12”d 6.0”w x 12”d 9.0”w x 12”d 12.0”w x 12”d |

•Easily move scales from one location to another |
Disadvantages of deploying |
•60” shelves are easier and faster to install
•Installation requires measuring, purchasing, managing and installing Ethernet cables |

Our DB5250 cart is equipped with 36 x 9”W scales & LED modules. The scales will report the quantities in each bin location and the LEDs will display the inventory level and messages. This model also has 2 LED towers. The towers may be used to locate parts. The towers will blink if the part is on this cart and the bin location LED will blink to pin-point the part’s location. When not locating parts, the LED towers Net the LEDs at each bin location providing a summary view of all bin locations. |
This DB5260 cart is equipped with 36 x 9”W scales. There are no bin location LED modules. It also has 2 LED towers. The towers are used to locate the cart containing the part you are looking for. There is a PC and scanner mounted to this cart. The LED towers will help with locating parts. If the part you are looking for is on this cart, the tower LED will blink. |
The DB5270 cart has 50 LED modules and two LED towers. Locate any part on any cart by touching a picture on a tablet, scanning a 2D or 3D barcode or by keyboard entry. The part locator will light the LED module under the bin or bins containing the part you need. This model does not have scale sensors. The bin location LEDs may be activated and deactivated based upon the width of the bin at the location. |
Extruded Aluminum - Strut Based Systems Family
With our Extruded Aluminum Strut Based Systems, you are limited only by the amount of space available and your imagination.
Extruded Aluminum strut is becoming very popular for building projects. It is stronger, lighter and more versatile than the commercial steel strut. It is also more attractive and more expensive.
There are four mounting surfaces making wire management and other fastening needs easier and cleaner. It is for these reasons, we chose to use extruded aluminum strut as a mounting material for our second flexible width system. |
